Notification Lists
What are notification lists?
Notification lists are a collection of one or more notification channels. A notification channel is a notification medium like email, slack, discord, etc.
For example if you wish to receive alerts via email and slack, You would
- create a notification list
- add email as a channel to it
- add slack as a channel to it
- attach this notification list to a monitor.
Once your monitor triggers any alert, It will send notifications to all the channels in the notification list. In this case it will send alerts via email and slack.
A default notification list has been automatically created for you when you signed up.
Create notification list
To create a new notification list
- Login to cronbuzz
- click on
notification listslink in navigation menu - click on create notification list button
- Enter a friendly name for your notification list
- Enter few tags for this notification list.(These tags can be used for filtering or grouping the notification lists of a specific product)
- Select notification channel from the channel drop down
- select or enter a value for the notification channel
- (optional) click on add channel link to add more channels to this notification list.
- Click create notification list.
Update notification list
To update a notification list
- Login to cronbuzz
- click on
notification listslink in navigation menu - click on the notification list you wish to update
- click on the edit icon on the top right-hand corner
- Update the fields you want to change
- Click update notification list button.
Delete notification list
To delete a notification list
- Login to cronbuzz
- click on
notification listslink in navigation menu - click on the notification list you wish to update
- click on the trash icon on the top right-hand corner
- you will see a confirmation modal. Click on delete notification list button to delete the notification list.
